A New Face in the Window

Una cara nueva en la vitrina

  1. Part 1: The Drum and the Braid

    A0 Spanish · 2 min read

The paper in the salon window says it plainly: long hair, money here. Keyla wants a drum more than she wants her braid — she just hasn't told her grandmother yet.

  2. Part 2: Two Girls, One Face

    A0 Spanish · 3 min read

Keyla traded her waist-long hair for a drum, and now her grandmother won't say a word to her. Then, on parade day, an old black-and-white photo appears in the crowd — of a girl with short hair and a very familiar face.
